By God’s Grace I am….
So, I am journeying through this life, and by the grace of God I have reached the ripe old age of 38!! This journey has not been an easy one, and I will not fill you in on all the details but let’s just say ‘’it ain’t been no picnic”. By God’s grace I am no longer who I used to be. I no longer a drunkard, thief, liar, fornicator, no longer lost in my trespasses and sins. Dead to God because of my iniquities. By the grace of God, I am a new man with new visions, new desires, new treasures, and more than anything a new heart! By the grace of God, I have been set free, I am called, I have been set apart, I am adopted and apart of a Royal Priesthood. God’s grace is all I have, and it is the only thing that saved me from the man I used to be. One of my favorite passages in the bible is Philippians 3: 7-14 –
But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
He has called me to become…
When I see all the God has achieved in my life by His grace it amazes me. There is a purpose for all of us in Christ if we only would allow the Holy Spirit to open our hearts and minds to see it. The bible says a man without a prophetic vision is dead and let me tell you I have been there for a long time. See though if the truth be told, God called me many years ago in my youth to teach, preach His word. Now you know when the Lord has placed a calling on your life when you feel that burning in your chest that you just can’t seem to shake. That’s the Spirit working in you. Well here it is and said out loud “God has called me to teach the Word of God”.!! Now with all the videos I have out it might seem that this is something I have already know, but again truth be told this is something I am just recently accepting. He has call me to be a minister of reconciliation. He has called me to give a message to his body of encouragement, love, and sound doctrine. HE HAS CALLED ME TO BECOME!!! Wow what an amazing thing to know, believe, and to say!!
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
And before you were born I consecrated you;
I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
He has called me to Serve His Kingdom by…
What I know and believe is the word clearly says in the end times, the body will not receive sound doctrine. The body will prefer its ear tickled and will not understand or except the difficult things of the word. There is letter written by Pliny the younger in the year 112 to his emperor Trajan about how Christianity was like a contagion, a virus. Christianity was affecting everyone from the young to the old, and from all ranks. Now these were people at a time being persecuted for just being known as a Christian. Well there needs to be someone that stands up like Elijah, or Isaiah, or Jeremiah and Hosea to call the body to accountability. Now I am not saying I am anything like those brothers, but I will tell you I am filled with the Power of the Holy Spirit and have asked God to use me. I am called to be a servant to by brothers and sisters in the faith, I am called to serve the kingdom by making sure we remain kingdom citizens. Jesus taught in Spirit and in Truth when he was on the earth and the same Spirit dwells in me, and in you. We are called to be Holy as He is Holy and make no mistake about it as Christians we are called to be distinct and different. In the world but not apart of the world.
God’s grace has caved me. Through His mercy he has called me. And by love I will serve His Kingdom!
